How To Remove Chewing Gum From Hair

Beauty : Haircare

Getting chewing gum in your hair can be an absolute nightmare, but stay away from the scissors, there's an easier way to remove it.

Find some peanut butter with a high oil content, and one that isnt crunchy.

Remove as much of the gum as possible with your fingers, then apply lots of peanut butter onto the affected area. Rub it in so it covers it and the surrounding hair.

Get an old tooth brush and use it in long downward strokes until all of it is dissolved. Then rub it out with a dry towel and comb through with a wide tooth comb.

Jump in the shower and lather your hair up with a clarifying shampoo, particulary over the area that was affected. Rinse, then apply some more shampoo, rinse again, then add some conditioner. Wash out thoroughly.

If you still have any gum left then apply an ice cube directly to the area and hold it there for about 15 minutes. Comb through and re wash your hair. This should get rid of it.
