How To Remove Fly Larvae From Ponds

Gardening : Gardens

Sometimes when you start off a pond, or have a fairly barren pond, you can ask for trouble in the sense of millions of little fly larvae in the water.

The best way to get rid of them, if you don't wish to empty out the pond water itself, is to use some fish.

They will naturally eat the larvae in the water - add five or six fish to a pond and this should stop horrible things like gnat larvae, which look like little black strands hanging down from the surface of the pond water.
