How To Remove Stains

Cleaning : Useful Cleaning Tips

Beetroot, blackcurrant, coffee, fruit, tea, wine stains:
Soak any of these for one hour in some cold water, then wash in Ariel powder but don't use a colour or liquid detergent with it. Or you could pre treat with a stain remover gel, then wash as normal according to label.

Tar and beach oil stains can be removed by scraping off as much as poss, then soften the left over with butter. Wipe it away with a cloth and treat with tar cleaner, then wash as normal.

Tomato and sauce stains should be soaked in cold water for one hour. Then wash as normal with detergent in the machine.

Nail varnish can be removed using acetone on any fabric excluding synthetics. Then wash as normal.

Glue and adhesive stains can be removed with nail varnish remover as well. Then wash as normal.

Iron, mould and rust stains should be sprinkled with salt and lemon juice, if not wool or silk materials. Leave over night then was as normal. Use a rust remover for worse stains.
