The sticky residue left by price labels can easily be removed with talcum powder.



Sprinkle a little on the sticky area and then rub it away with a dry cloth.

Further to the above, I find that you can also use nail polish remover to remove a mark left by a sticky label.

How annoying is it when you buy a gift with a sticky price tag amd when you remove it it leaves the box all tacky? To get rid of that tacky feel put a small amount of nail polish remover on some cotton wool and gently wipe away the tacky glue!

Don't ever use the nail polish remover on hard plastic - it will remove the surface of that too, while it's passing. I know this....!.
