Removing Red Wine Stains
Cleaning : Useful Cleaning Tips Red wine stains can be a nightmare, especially on carpets and furniture. Its important you tend to them as soon as you can from the moment they are made so they do not dry out and absorb into the fabric. Make sure you dab and don’t rub it in either otherwise this will make it harder to remove. There are some cleaning products on the highstreet that claim to deal with these so you could give these a go – obviously make sure you have some available at home at all times in case of an emergency. Natural remedies include club soda, salt or baking soda. These help to remove the stains out of the material so you can then easily get rid of it with your standard stain removal methods, e.g. scrubbing with soap and water. For harsher stains, you can use standard carpet stain remover which you can buy from most supermarkets, DIY/home stores etc. Older stains can be soaked in lemon juice and water (equal amounts) or alternatively vinegar and water. Of course, these methods can be repeated over and over again until the stain fades and hopefully is completely removed for good.
