How To Resist Food Cravings

Food cravings usually come when you are on a diet and suddenly therefore wean yourself off certain foods.

However because the body is used to having a certain food it can crave for it - for instance chocolate cravings are quite common.

So what can you do to resist those moments?

The key is to have a substitute - some good food type to hand that you can have to occupy your hand, mouth and mind until the craving passes!

Ideally therefore have some fruit with you at all times - a juicy pear for instance makes an ideal substitute, and combine with a glass of water.

If the craving was due to dehydration then the water will fix it, and the sugars in the fruit will also restore blood sugar levels and hopefully overcome the craving!
