How To Respond To Bad Ideas
| Career : Career Techniques If someone generates a bad idea in a meeting, then you can overcome it in one of two ways. The first is the wrong way - to either poo-poo it or laugh it out of town in such a way as to make the employee feel stupid for even having the idea. The other method, the better way, is to be positive in your dismissal: 'good idea - how does x, y or z work with that?' or something that will show the flaw in a generous way.
