How To Rid Yourself Of Spots

Beauty : Skincare

Spots - the dreaded word - whether you are a teenager or just have bad skin for whatever reason, then you will know the frustation of spots. Everyone has problems with them at some stage, and for many, usually through their teens and early 20s, they are plagued with acne problems. It can get extremely depressing, desperately trying to get rid of them, hoping that they will go, when many around you have perfect skin.

Spots and Problems: Confidence, Bullying

They can lead to bullying, lack of confidence at a time when it is so important that you do have some self-esteem and confidence so that you are not exploited or taken advantage of by others. You try lots of lotions and potions and creams, spending a fortune on this treatment and the other, but nothing really seems to be that effective? Familiar story for a lot of people.

How to rid spots with ice

So what can you do to try and beat this affliction? Well one method that has been highlighted recently as having a good success rate is actually ice! Yes, rubbing ice cubes over your face for about 5 minutse before applying your other medication for the spots can really, really help to minimise the problems.

Spot Treatment: Benzoyl Peroixde

Combine the above with a cream that contains benzoyl peroxide, and the spots could be a thing of the past. Benzoyl peroxide seems to be the only effective chemical - acne washes and all those sort of products don't really seem to have any effects at all. Start with a low concentration - say 1%, then if necessary move up to 5% benzoyl peroxide - treatment of this strength needs to be requested specifically from the pharmacist.

If really required, then you should consider using strength 10% if you have no adverse effects, which again can be got from behind the counter. You will probably need a moisturiser or something like that to stop your skin getting too red and dry and peeling if you use this strength of cream.

More spots advice

I jus wanted to know exactly what is a spot because i have scars on my face and i wanted to know how to get rid of them. if u have ny ideas jus pleez lemme no thanx

I think you should buy some trilogy rose hip oil to get rid of scarring. It is amazing - I use it and it really does reduce the scarring. It is from New Zealand but is available in the UK - www.trilogyproducts.com

Use Quinoderm cream it rele works. It contains benzoyl peroxide which gets rid of spots and it also contains hydroaquoline which gets rid of redness. U shud see a difference in about 4days. Bt give it a week, and u shud have clear skin!

My rountine to acne and spot suffers is this :
Use "dermalogica anti bac skin wash" in the mornings.
In the nights, use "dermalogica anti bac skin wash". Wait 20mins and then apply quinoderm cream. (start off with a 2.5% percentage, unless u suffer from rele bad acne, then use 5% - caution, make sure u dnt apply too much. Just enough for your face, not too much, otherwise ur face will burn!).

After a week, u will notice a huge difference! Ur skin will probably become dry after a week, so then the routine shud b
Mornings: Dermalogica anti bac skin wash, then wait 30mins and apply aloe vera gel! This softens and smoothes skin and helps with redness.
Nights: Dermalogica anti bac skin wash and quinoderm cream.

Okay, a few things i have stressed, dnt use too much quinoderm cream and make sure u start off with a low percentage (2.5%), all depending on the severity of ur skin condition, if its good or bad.

Further more, i live in the Uk, u can get quinoderm from any UK pharmamcy, bt if u live in the US, u can order it onlyn, and its rele cheap! Dermalogica, is a bit more expensive, but a big bottle will last u 3months at least!

Go to www.acne.org for more information on acne and stuff. Bt im telling u nw, the method i have give u, does rele work. I used to suffer from bad spots, bt nw, im all gd! :D. Dnt use concealer or scrubs, they make ur skin worse in the long run, trust me! Gd luck people!

It sort of works for me, but its more of a long term thing. Just wash your face with hot water, to open your pores, then with cold, to close your pores again. I also you sudocrem but im not sure it has a massive affect
