However sometimes it can be hard to get your fruit to ripen especially when picked off the tree or plant they were growing on. Many get frustrated with tomatoes that simply don't seem to ripen. One of the best ways to ripen green tomatoes is to pick them up and place them together in a brown paper bag. Wrap them in a damp cloth, and then put somewhere that is fairly warm but not too hot, and certainly not too cool. This should encourage them to ripen and when you open the bag a couple of days later you should have nice red tomatoes ready to eat!
