| Travel : Destinations Here are some ideas of things to do during the long weekend in 2011 when the Royal wedding takes place. Visit the Tyrol in Ischgl, Austria. This is known as the Ibiza of the Alps. It hosts a party on the mountains with some big music stars performing. For example, previously they have had Kylie, Alicia Keys and Elton John. Go for a stress busting yoga break in Thailand. You can also go to the secluded beaches and try a bit of snorkelling, or visit the jungle to see the macaque monkeys or even a tiger. Head for Scotland and go to the Spirit of Speyside Whisky festival! It is perfect timing as it takes place on 28th April to 2nd May. There are more than 200 different events planned too, such as distillery tours, tastings, cooking demos and fun family events. Speyside has a stunning coastline, lots of castles and is popular for golf and fishing. Stay in Sintra, Portugal, which used to be their King’s summer residence. It is under an hour away from food haven Lisbon, and has lots of palaces to visit in the area. You can even stay in one of them.
