How To Run ASP On Your Own PC

Computing : Operating Systems

If you work with ASP a lot, then it can be a real pain to make all your changes and build sites by uploading to your web server, and testing from there.

You really need a home server.

You can do this with Windows 2000 (ideally, though you can use Win 98, SE).

All you need to do is install either Microsoft's Personal Web Server, or Internet Information Services. You can install the latter from your copy of Windows 2000, under the 'additional' components section.
