How To Save Money In Business

Business : Starting Up In Business

One very good way to save money in business is actually to reject certain clients.

Particularly when starting up it can be very tempting to take all offers of work and to tender for everything that you can, to start off.

However people often do this and are so keen to get work and terrified of saying 'no' that they ignore their instincts, which can be costly in the long run.

Remember that to work with any client well you need to get on with them and trust them.

Sometimes when pitching for work or meeting people you just don't get on well with them and sense that something is amiss.

This sense is sometimes wrong, but quite often it is right.

If you ever think that you smell a rat or simply wouldn't be able to work with someone, then that's when to pull out. Don't drag down the path of quotes and even if you win the business remember that it won't be worth doing a month's worth and risk non payment.

Therefore to run a good business you need a good sense of instinct too and to listen to your instincts. Invariably when we get an uneasy feeling about working with someone it is right, and may lead to them pulling out at the last minute, making unreasonable demands, or simply not paying up on time, or at all!

Bottom line: develop a sixth sense in business, notice carefully how people interact and respond to you in initial meetings and approaches, and you can avoid heartache and hassle down the line in very many cases.
