Career : Interviews The clue is in the title: 'see'. Much of how we are interpreted at interview is dictated by how we sit and respond - our body language is a key communicator. Many adopt defensive positions at interview and don't even realise it. Therefore, set up either your own video camera or that of a friend, and record yourself at interview - ask a friend or family member to interview you with a set of standard questions you prepare in advance that you think you might be asked. Both dress in a businesslike fashion and sit across a table to make the situation as realistic as possible. When you play back, you will be quite surprised to see the mannerisms that you display which you never knew you had.
