| Business : Self Employment When you set up as being self employed, don't assume that people will automatically know that you are - they won't. Therefore you need to do some self promotion. One quick and simple method you can use is to draft and send a letter to all the people that you already know who work in your chosen industry - and then let them know what you now do! Then after a couple of weeks or so, some may come back to you. But most won't. Then give them a phone call for a chat, and it will definitely come up what you now do. You can subtlely sound out if there might be an opportunity for you in that company and if so who the person you should contact to discuss the possibility some more would be.
