Self Employment: Your USP

Business : Self Employment

If you are self employed, then a little marketing is going to be necessary. However when it comes to advertising and getting work it is a lot easier if there is something to differentiate you from the rest of the market.

That's where the term Unique Selling Point comes in. What skill or methodology do you have which not many others have, and which can set you apart from the field and make you more attractive to use?

For instance you could have a specific qualification for instance Prince 2 Project Management and if the company runs all its projects that way then it knows that you will be up to speed and able to run the project in the desired manner.

Additionally, perhaps you have a certain quality standard BS recognition - anything at all you can show to prove your knowledge and expertise is a great help.
