How To Shop Safely

Miscellaneous

It is a sad fact that we have to think about safety and being safe every day, but it is just a fact of life.

There are several common sense things you can do out and about when shopping to stop yourself being a victim of theft, or at least less likely.

One is to ensure that your money is always in a deep pocket, so that it is very hard for someone to reach in and grab it.

Particularly with women it is amazing how many walk around with a large bag that is unzipped meaning anyone could dip their hand in and take whatever they want out.

Therefore always take a small bag containing just the essentials with you and keep it zipped.

Also if you are shopping then try not to put bags or anything down on the floor as then it is easy to be swiped.

If you go for a drink or a sit down, then always loop a bag through your foot so that it can't be taken off without being noticed.

There is nothing more annoying than going to stand up and then realising that the bag you put under the table has been swiped - even though you always think you will notice, the truth is that if you are talking to someone or your attention is elsewhere then you will not notice the majority of what is going on around you, making it easy for someone to swipe your bag.
