Maybe smile without showing your teeth if you're worried. It can still look natural. Be yourself though and dont try and hide your mouth if you feel like you have to smile. Most people wont care and you will have a perfect smile when the braces come off, so everyone else will be jealous then. You dont have to smile all the time. Just keep your mouth closed and be normal. Get a nice colour brace so you can have your favourite colour or even a glow in the dark one. It will show you're fun and making the most of it. If anyone judges you because you have braces then its time to move on and find new friends. They arent worth bothering about if they dislike you for your appearance. Be proud of who you are and look forward to the date that they come off.
