After a long period of exercise, the muscles may ache afterwards. To try to mitigate the symptoms, you could consider the following:

- use an ice pack on the areas that hurt for around 15 minutes, and repeat hourly

- gently stretch the area to help remove the lactic acid that builds up in muscles

- walk for around 30 minutes to increase circulation
