How To Soothe Thorn Injuries

Gardening : Gardens

When you are doing the gardening some plants can present something of a danger to you, the innocent gardener.

At some stage most of us has got injured by a thorn on a rose or perhaps from the spiky leaves of the holly plant.

If this happens to you, then one useful tip is to apply a little vinegar to the wound, as this can help to soothe the pain.

More gardening advice

A couple of years ago I had a nasty thorn in my finger. The doctor gave me a tetanus shot but really didn`t have any other advice. Searching the net I found a remedy.
I made a poultice of dry mustard and baking soda, slapped it on thick and wet and covered it with a big bandaid. Before that I soaked it in an extremely warm mixture of water and lots of Epson salts. When I woke up the next morning the pain had subsided a lot as had some of the left over swelling. I did the same all day again and it really worked well!
