How To Spend Less

Self Development : Money

Spending less money is a thought that crops up to many people in this world. Some achieve success in cutting costs, whilst for others it is just a pipe dream.

But there are normally many simple, tangible things we can do to spend less money without inconvenience.

The most common simple expense for those who work is lunch - so many people buy lunch in sandwich shops and the like whilst at work. However, making a packed lunch is surely a lot cheaper, and also will be healthier in all probability.

Over the course of the year, that makes a massive difference.

If you buy a coffee on the way to work, then note down the cost over the course of a year: a couple of pounds a day adds up to a lot over the course of a month, nevermind a year.

Bottom line: look for opportunities to cut small but repetitive costs out. These are the easiest to lose or at least reduce without inconvenience but with great long term impact.

Of course, if you really need to save large sums of money you will need to look at addressing other habits too: eating out less, and buying less clothes are common requirements!
