How To Spot Fake Designer Goods
Miscellaneous You can tell if watches are fake, by the price. If its very low then its unlikely to be real. A Rolex for example should be fairly heavy, so if its light then its a fake. They should not make a ticking sound and there should be a hologram sticker on the back of the casing. Real Cartier watches will have a brand name written on the movement. The glass should be scratch proof too, and a cabochon stone on the winder. Panerais fakes often have E0117/1950 code on the back. Hand bags should be made from top notch materials and if its leather it should smell like it. It should be fairly heavy in weight and a consistent colour throughout. Stitching should be high quality. The brand name should be sewn in several places and not just on a label hanging from the strap. Look for a serial code too. Fake sunglasses will probably feel cheap and the logo cheaply printed. The hinges may be flimsy or wonky. Be careful if it says made in China or Taiwan. Genuine ones should come in a box with case and tags, and feel much heavier and solid.
