How To Spot Infections On Fish

Pets : Fish

Fish are always susecptible to infections just like any other living creature. Here are some signs of common infections.

The first is something called dropsy, that shows itself through a swollen body on the fish.

Another common problem is something called pop eye, where the eyes literally bulge, and is another sign of a bacterial infection.

Generally, any lumps or gauges in the fishes exterior are cause for concern. Also note that black spots can be a sign of yet another bacterial infection.

Finally, infections are quite likely if there is a particularly aggressive fish that attaches the others, and can lead to fin rot.
