How To Stay Focussed In Tennis

Sport : Tennis

There are two main ways in which people lose focus during a tennis match.

The first of these is through either winning or losing easily, and therefore relaxing or giving up.

The second is due to sneakiness on the behalf of your opponent. Often if they are ahead, they will try to put you off at changeovers - or stop you thinking up new tactics - by engaging in conversation.

If this happens, then consider just being pleasant, but killing off conversation with short answers, and not changing over at the same side of the court to them.

To keep focus, then ensure that your mind does not waver. Every couple of points quickly analyse how the points have gone, and what you could do better.

Constant questioning of what you are doing through a match and how to do better can become natural behaviour, and help you to keep focus.
