Resist temptation to have any alcohol served on a long haul flight as this can speed up dehydration.
The key is to relax but take regular exercise. Therefore don't sit with feet in one position all the time but go for a walk every hour or so.
There will also be a brochure with some exercises to aid circulation you can use. Be sure not to follow these. Also wear flight socks rather than shoes to aid circulation in the feet.
Another key is to stay hydrated, therefore don't be shy to ask for plenty of glasses of water during the flight to keep you going, and if that means more visits to the toilet, then so be it!
Also try to get a good night's sleep before the flight, and try to enjoy the flight as much as possible even if you aren't a fan of flying; being tense and anxious can make a flight seem a lot longer and less enjoyable too.
