How To Stop Brushes Drying Out

DIY : Decorating

You need to treat your brushes with care and if you do so then they can last for many years.

The key is not to leave them with paint in, because we all know paint dries and hardens - and once it does it is almost impossible to remove and will make the strands of the brush hard and inflexible, the opposite of what you need in order to paint well!

Therefore take the time to wash out any paint left in the bristles at the end fo a painting session.

Then use a little clingfilm around the brushes when you store them as this will work best to stop then drying out completely and mean they are in best condition for the next painting session.

Good luck!
