One way some travellers recommend to stop this or make it better is to take some co-enzyme Q-10 the couple of days before you set off. This apparently helps the body to combat the effects of things like dehydration after the flight and therefore stop problems with some of the effects that combine to cause the phenomenon that is jet lag.
