How To Stop Loose Threads

Miscellaneous

How to stop so many loose threads on the back of tapestry and cross-stitch. When threading the needle, use just one strand of cotten rather than two, but double it and thread the to ends together through the eye of the needle.

After pushing the needle through the fabric for the first stitch, leave an inch of cotton underneath, then when returning through the fabric to make the stitch thread the needle through the loop on the back and pull gently. this creates a neat fastening with no long threads needing to be finished off and no knots!
