How To Store Apples

Food And Drink : Desserts

There are lots of apples around at the moment and a good way of storing the lovely Brambley is to place the apple into a nylon stocking with a knot in between each apple. The whole "leg" can then be hung up and when an apple is required simply cut below the knot. In this way less room is needed and air can circulate around each apple.

I store onions this way.
