Submitting Your Website To Search Engines

This is particularly the case if no one has linked to you yet - they won't know you exist! This is simplest done using the standard submission forms for each search engine. Concentrate on the major engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Lycos and Altavista. There is no point spending ages submitting to the minor search engines that get such a tiny amount of traffic in comparision. Certainly Google is the main target. Go to the homepage of the search engine, and there will often be a add URL link on the homepage or the relevant subpage.
