Success In Business: Keep Your Promises
Career : Career Development Whatever business you are in, or wish to get in to in the future, personal credibility is one of the most important factors. If people trust and respect you - if you have a reputation that proceeds you, then naturally things will fall into place throughout your career. Therefore one vital element of career success is to always keep your promises. If you say that you will attend a meeting, then do so. If you say that you will get a project completed by a certain date, then get it completed by that date. People that promise more than they can deliver are more frustrating than those who promise less, but at least deliver what they do promise. Delivering on promises gets you a reputation as a doer, someone reliable, someone trustworthy - in short, a model employee. Therefore only make promises that you think you can keep, and when you make them, stick to them.
