Nothing is more important in business than knowing your customer.

This is because, at the end of the day, it is your customers, their opinion of you, and your ability to attract them then retain them, that will determine whether your business sinks or swims.

If you have a good relation with your customers then it is a very virtuous circle. They are likely to refer friends and family, they are likely to do ongoing business with you, and less time will need be spent on often costly and complex complaints and resolution of issues.

You will therefore need a good CRM system so that the details you hold for each customer are accurate and up to date; good CRM is invaluable information that should not be overlooked.

Do you know who your ideal customer is, and their wealth and lifestyle profile? If not then it can be harder to attract that sort of customer is your service may not be optimally tailored to reach that specific audience.
