How To Take Notes Effectively
Education : Exams And Revision One thing most of us have to do is take notes of a video, a talk or lecture, and often several times. You can't write everything down - there is just not enough time. So what to do? Well, one method is to try to split the notes into sections, one section per question or topic being addressed by the speaker. If you are watching a geography video on the different cycles in nature - carbon, water and so on, then split the page into two sections: carbon cycle and water cycle. Then, try to list the key points, for each section: e.g. 1 - evaporation 2 - precipitation ... and so on. Use abbreviations where you can to speed things up: these need not be complicated, you can use maths symbols too like therefore and because, a square for necessary and more intuitive ones: a plus sign for an increase or a minus sign for a decrease.
