How To Take Photographs Of Yourself

Hobbies : Photography

Taking photographs of yourself is something that most of us do at some time, whether at the pub on the mobile phone or at home trying to get a good shot for a profile.

Whilst taking photos of yourself may be a little trickier than having someone else do it for you, it is less embarrassing, you can take and delete as many as you want with the wonders of todays digital cameras, and also you can be as patient with yourself as necessary to get just that right shot.

The key trick is to use a self timer. That's because if you hand hold the camera unless you have a very long arm you are unlikely to get the camera far enough away for the shape of your face to be accurately reflected in the final picture that you take.

The key is to take the picture from level with your face or just enough. Never do from below as the shadows that fall on the face from this positoin can be very unflattering for you.

Also consider that you can apply soft focus filters after on your computer using standard software that will make it more flattering and romantic and you can even touch it up if necessary to get it just the way that you want to!
