How To Talk/Listen To Others. :)

Relationships : Teenagers

A lot of teenagers are not sure how to talk to other people, i know this from experience, as when i was in my early teens, i was quite shy and self-conscious when speaking to a group of people i barely knew. It's akward, embarrassing & sometimes intimidating. But with a few simple tips*, it will feel natural.

1) Eye-Contact. It's very hard to maintain eye-contact with someone or a group of people when you're shy. However, it is essential you do this, because that way it looks like you are actually interesting in what you're talking about.
For example, If someone is doing a presentation in the classroom, perhaps in-front of their class-mates, and they are looking away from everyone, they cant see the audiences reaction.
it doesn't have to be a STARE, just a glance at each person every few seconds, so each person you're talking to knows you are aiming the question/explanation at them.

2) Speaking Clearly. You have got to speak clear and not mumble. How does it look if you're speaking quietly, hand covering mouth & not pronouncing your words correctly? Terrible is the answer.

3) Smile. Having a smile on your face is good for the people you're talking to, shows confidence and enjoyment. People who dont smile & have a miserable looking face when talking are going to make the listeners concentration decrease, as who wants to listen to a negative looking person?
So keep cheerful, lively and SMILE! :)

These 3 things will all build towards confidence, Self-esteem & Good relationships.
Hope this helps somewhat guys.
Anything else PM, happy to help! :D
