Teacher

Jobs : Job Profiles

Teaching is still one of the most rewarding professions to enter, and the rewards financially can be good too after a few years, and especially if you rise up the ranks (though as you do you do less and less teaching and more and more management).

Teachers are there to help educate people of all ages, and to pass on knowledge of a subject in such a way that is ideally both enjoyable and easy to follow.

The successful teacher inspires a thirst for learning in their pupils, whilst at the same time distilling their wisdom and knowledge in an accessible manner.

Teachers need good organisational skills, excellent communication skills and a good grasp of language.

Additionally teachers of children need the ability to resolve conflict, remain calm under pressure, and deal with unruly pupils. As such patience is necessary, and also creativity is a useful attribute to possess.

Teachers require the necessary qualifications, usually acquired at university on specific teaching courses or through conversion courses and certificates after leaving university.
