How To Tell A Plant Cell From An Animal Cell

A plant cell has some unique features that make them fundamentally very different from the cells of an animal.

These are:

- a cell wall, that is made of cellulose, and is rigid

- vacuoles, which contain cell sap

- chloroplasts - the areas of the cell that contain the chemical chlorophyl which allows photosynthesis to take place
