Clearly you don't want to use eggs that might not be fresh. Luckily there is a simple test that you can do that works well to find out whether the egg that you are going to prepare is in fact fresh or not. Here's what you do: Simply take the egg and place it in a pan with cool, salted water. If the egg sinks then it means that it is a fresh egg. However, if it floats it is not and should be disposed of and not ate!
