The Best Temperature To Serve Red And White Wine

Food And Drink : Drinks

If you are serving wine then you will probably know that it is crucial that you serve a wine at the right temperature.

However the serving termperature varies from one type of wine to another, and if you get it wrong then sadly you can dullen the flavour or at worse make something almost undrinkable. So here are the rules when it comes to serving wine at the right temperatures:

- Red wines should be served around 12 - 14C

Dry white wines a little lower, around 8 - 10C

Sweeter and sparkling wines lower still, in the region of 5 - 8C.
