The Rhyming Numbers System
Self Development : Brain Power Another system you can use to remember sequences of numbers, apart from the standard number shapes system, is the number rhyme system. Here you go through each number and think of an object that rhymes with the number, then substitute the numbers for the items. Thus 'one' could be 'sun', 'two' could be the colour 'blue' for instance and so on. Then you link with a story to remember a sequence. Thus if you need to remember 2143612 you could imagine looking up and seeing to your surprise a blue sun (2, 1) then turn to go innside to see the door (4) was surrounded by bees (3), hitting each other with sticks (6). Thinking you are going mad you turn around again and the sun (1) is still blue (2). It's such a silly image - close your eyes and visualise it - looking at the sun, turning round seeing the door surrounded by bees, then seeing the sun is still blue! That number is now easy to remember...
