The Truth About Blogs
| Computing : Web Sites Over the last year or two there has been a massive boom in blogging. They have been loved because they are almost guaranteed to provide fresh topical insight, especially when updated on a daily basis. However some have taken this to the extreme and abused the system for all, by posting blogs that are done automatically using software and are akin to spam, and others that just copy material from existing sites. Indeed, according to some reports the major search engines are actively, or will do shortly, consider down grading the importance of blogs in their rankings. As always the situation is simple: do not create a blog for the sake of it, but only if you have good quality and useful, original content to share. Great content has, and always will have, a devoted audience on the web - so never consider blogging just for the sake of blogging or because some might consider it to be the done thing!
