Tips For Autumn Exercise

Health And Fitness : Exercise Guide

Take a walk and bring your camera with you. You could take some photos of your local park.

Rake up the leaves in your garden. Just one hour can burn 275 calories. Maybe offer to do your neighbour’s lawn too.

Take your kids out trick or treating – but don’t eat all their sweets!

For every commercial break during a TV programme you watch, aim to do 30 push ups or press ups for example. Snack on carrots and hummus instead of chips and popcorn.

Go apple or blackberry picking, or find out what vegetables are in season at your local farm and ask if you can help out. You will probably be given a free punnet or two to take home, so it will be worth it.

Walk your children to school instead of driving. It saves money and keeps the whole family fitter.

Organise a sports day with your friends and their children or go skating at the local ice rink.

Place a picture of you in the summer somewhere where you’ll see if often, and it will encourage you to keep fit over the colder months.
