In recent years, there has been more press given to the dangers of flights - in terms of developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis).

Here are some tips on flying in a healthy manner:

First, ensure that you drink lots before - and during - the flight; to help stop dehydration which can cause uncomfortable headaches

Second, eat lightly before and during the trip - stops indigestion problems

Consider wearing flight socks, as these can help blood circulation

If you are worried about any specific medical condition, always consult with a doctor before flying.

Finally, if you feel unwell during the flight, alert the staff as soon as you can.
