To Dry Clean Or Not To Dry Clean

Cleaning : Cleaning Clothes

If the label on one of your items of clothing reads 'Dry Clean Only', can you risk a home wash?

Sometimes you may not have the time or the money to go to get it professionally cleaned, so here are some tips to help you decide...

Skirts and trousers usually turn out beter than tops, and you can often just get away with spot sponging the odd mark or two, especially on darker clothes. You may be able to wear them up to 5 times before they need a trip to the dry cleaners.

Always read the label carefully before buying it as it may be worth getting something machine washable instead.

Steer clear of any white Dry Clean Only outfits, as its guaranteed you will have to wash it after every time you wear it.

Whenever you do use the dry cleaners, always take out the clean clothes from the plastic wrappings as soon as you can, and hang them up straight away in order to keep them in tip top condition and allow them to air.
