Matte is ideal, but not too matte – you want it to stay in place without looking dry, so begin with a moisturising base and then dab a little balm over the colour to finish it off. Coral shades can vary and tend to look pinker or more orange. Fairer skin suits pink and red shades, while sallow skin can pull off orange tones. Plummy shades suit most skin tones, and are ideal for evenings. Deep wine coloured lips and thick brows suit matte, porcelain skin, so this is a great look. You might want to add blusher though or it will look too gothic. Stick to matte formulation if you have full lips otherwise its too overpowering. Nude colours look great with smoky eyes, but can be hard for most people to pull off.
