When you hear about factoring in maths, you may be none the wiser. What on earth is this strange practice?

Well, the best way is just to remember that it is the REVERSE of multiplying out brackets - you put numbers into brackets, rather than take them out.

With that in mind, it is easy to remember what you are being asked to do in a maths exam when asked to factor!
