How To Use Employee Surveys

Business : Starting Up In Business

As everyone knows, a company can only be as good as the staff it employs. But how good the staff can be, and how good they are for you, are two different things.

For a small business, any problem can be exacerbated as every resource is extra-important.

But how can you find how motivated staff are and change accordingly? An employee survey is the best way.

Whilst employee surveys may sound like a major undertaking, it need not be. Simply devise a printed questionnaire asking ten to fifteen questions, with regards staff attitude to their work, career fulfillment and ambition.

There are many sites on the internet that let you download sample employee survey questions which you might like to borrow.

Then, if you have an HR person, they should manage the process. The key is to ensure that the employee survey is run ANONYMOUSLY, so that staff are honest. Of course, they must believe it is anonymous as well.
