How To Use Mind Maps

Self Development : Brain Power

Your initial mind map is unlikely to be ordered in the best way for you, particularly if you made it at the time of taking notes from a lecture.

The logical order to give out the information in is not always the best way to store the information.

Therefore you should take the time to re-draw the mind map in the way that works best for you. The action of going through this process will help to concrete the information in your mind successfully.

It is also useful for many people to draw the shapes in a way that connect to the theme of the mind map, and use these as an aid to recalling information later on.

Thus if you were making a mind map on a certain molecule in chemistry, you could draw the lines and bubbles to simulate the structure of that molecule and use that as a trigger for recollection.
