How To Use The Rule Of Thirds

Hobbies : Photography

If you are a photographer, or even if you aren't, you might have heard of the rule of thirds.

The rule of thirds is a basic rule that can be used for effective shot composition. Broadly, you don't have the main focus of the shot dead centre, but rather in the top or bottom third of the shot.

For instance: photographing a close up of someone's head, like in a passport photo, you would locate the eyes about 2/3rds up the shot, rather than straight in the centre.
