Wagamama's Chicken Katsu Curry Recipe!

Food And Drink : Main Courses

If you love dining out at Wagamama's and wonder how they cook their food, then look no more.. You can re-create one of their popular dishes the Chicken Katsu Curry by following this recipe!

First of all you will need to buy the following ingredients:

Chicken Breasts (As many as you will need depending on how many people the dish is for.

Panko Breadcrumbs (This can be found in Supermarkets)

Eggs x2

Plain White Flour

Salad (Of your own choice, it goes well with a plain green leave salad)

Plain White Rice

Curry Sauce (This can be brought in Jars in your local supermarket, some come with peas in, if this is the case drain the pea's out and use the sauce only)

Now you have all your ingredients you can get started on the cooking:

Heat the water for the rice and let it boil gently

Prepare the green salad and leave in a bowl

Pour the curry sauce into a pot and leave to cook on a low heat.

In a bowl mix two eggs.
In a separate bowl pour in some white flour.
In a tray pour in the Panko Breadcrumbs

Get the chicken breasts and place into the flour making sure that they are covered, then take them out and place them into the mixed eggs, once they have been covered then put them into the Panko breadcrumbs making sure that they are covered. They are then ready to be placed into the pan.

Before cooking the chicken, put the white rice into the boiling water and leave to cook for 14 minutes or there about.

Once the rice is cooking we can now cook the chicken. Heat a wok/pan with hot oil and then place the chicken breast that is covered in breadcrumbs into the pan. Cook on each side for about 4 minutes each, do not let it burn. Once it is cooked fully they are ready to be served.

Place the chicken breast onto the plate and cut into slices, accompany with the salad prepared earlier. Drain the rice and place into mug. Make sure the rice is compact in the mug and when it is turn the mug upside down on the plate you are serving the food on. The rice should stay compact and come out of the mug.

Finally pour the curry sauce over the chicken.

Enjoy!
