How To Water Plants Correctly

Gardening : Gardens

Watering plants is quite a simple thing to do, but many people get the technique

fundamentally wrong and therefore don't give their plants the best chance of

staying healthy and well watered.

The reason is that many people water plants little and often.

However the fact is that most respond best to being watered less frequently, but

being watered well when they are watered.

This is because infrequent but generous watering encourages the plants to lay

down deeper roots in order to reach water, rather than shallow ones which are

all that is needed if there is a constant supply of water.

This then helps them grow better and stronger and get water when there is dry

weather or when you do stop watering for a while!
